4th edition — January 2007

This is the fourth edition of ‘Building the European capital market’, issued in January 2007. The publication summarises the key developments around the European Union’s Single Capital market programme. It covers not only finanical reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards, but also the Prospectus and Transparency Directives, company law and corporate governance, and the impact of new regulatory and enforcement arrangementes. The booklet also takes a forward look, at the Commission's priorities for the next phase of the single market up to 2010.

The publication will be of interest not only to board members of listed companies and regulatory contacts in the 27 EU member states, but also for non–EU issuers that have EU listings.
